Since our inception in 1961, we have thrived in our business for more than half a century and established our name in Yokohama City, Kanagawa.

Based on our expansive knowledge and experience gained through pawnbroking in discerning authenticity and market value of artifacts, we always try our best to “offer good items cheaper than anywhere else” in dealing precious metals, jewelleries, loose jewels, and brand products purchased at our store fronts and various places in Japan.

Company History

  1. 1st November 1961
    Opened KINEYA Pawnshop LLC. at 1-16-13 Okano, Nishi-ku, Yokohama City.
    (Capital Amount at Incorporation: 2.5 million yen)

  2. April 1975
    Increased capital amount to 30 million yen.

  3. March 1979
    At the completion of Sugimoto Building at 1-13-1 Okano, Nishi-ku, Yokohama City, moved its head office to the new location. At the same time, opened Jewellery KINEYA (jewellery dealer).

  4. November 1996
    Opened Jewellery KINEYA Isezakicho (present Kannai Shop) at 1F Kiraku Bldg, 1-6-5 Isezakicho, Naka-ku, Yokohama City.

  5. 1st December 2003
    Changed name to KINEYA Corporation.

  6. March 2004
    Increased capital amount to 50 million yen.

  7. June 2007
    Opened the second Jewellery KINEYA Isezakicho at 3-104 Isezakicho, Naka-ku, Yokohama (present Isezakicho shop).

  8. February 2010
    Reopened Jewellery KINEYA Kannai.
